Research Interests
It is almost impossible for plant operators to perform a complicated tasks as monitoring and controlling very complex chemical plants. Today, artificial intelligence (AI) techniques and more advanced concepts of fuzzy control have been introduced to plant automation with a distributed control system. We are developing the automatic control systems for optimal operation of a chemical processes using personal computers and micro-controllers through internet. And, expert systems for operation-aid and fault diagnosis of chemical processes also have been developed. And we are developing CCM(computer color matching) system for automatic synthesis of color paint which is needed in pigment manufacturing process. Now, in our lab the sequence matching system in bioinformatics is studied.
